Paragon Cloud’s story begins long before “the cloud” was a buzzword.
In 1989, when most businesses were still flipping through paper ledgers, Mark and Jane Forbush were busy helping companies take their first steps into computer‑based accounting. They weren’t just implementing software — they were guiding people through a technological transition.
They built their company on a philosophy passed down from Mark’s father, a milkman from northern New Hampshire: “Charge a fair price and kill them with service.”
From day one, Paragon operated differently. No bouncing between departments. No “we’ll get back to you next week.” No ticket queues. No impersonal email loops. Instead, when a customer called, someone who knew their business picked up the phone — and stayed with them until the problem was truly solved. That commitment to human service became the backbone of everything that followed.
A New Generation With the Same Heart
As Paragon evolved over the past 35 years, so did Elizabeth Forbush.
Elizabeth is the sixth child of Mark and Jane and started in the business as a bookkeeper before heading to Wellesley College, where she further developed her skills to run a business in an ever-changing industry. Her research on tech start-ups at MIT Sloan and her honors thesis on Generative AI added fresh perspective and new capabilities to the family business.
Today, Elizabeth carries forward her parents’ ethos while guiding the company into the future of cloud ecosystems, data, automation, and global growth.
Elizabeth represents the next generation of Paragon — blending modern strategy with the same service‑first spirit her parents embedded into every fiber of the company.
